Pelio helps baseball to upset of No. 1 NC State, Kent lifts lacrosse to 2-0 week.
CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – Boston College baseball freshman Mason Pelio and lacrosse graduate student Kenzie Kent have been named the Nissan Eagles of the Week for their performances this past week.

In BC's 3-1 win over No. 1 NC State on Sunday, Pelio matched a season-high with 7.2 innings pitched while striking out seven and allowing just one run on two hits and two walks. Pelio made what was his team-leading fifth start of six-plus innings in the no-decision, matching his season-high with 7.2 innings of work. The Eagles are 4-0 when Pelio starts against a ranked opponent. Pelio allowed a solo home run in the fourth to end a streak of 15-scoreless innings and a streak of 16 innings without allowing an earned run. He has surrendered an earned run in only five of the 42 complete innings he has thrown this season.

In a 2-0 week for the lacrosse team, Kent was the leading scorer fir BC in two wins over ranked opponents. In Wednesday's 13-9 win over No. 5 Notre Dame, Kent led all players with two goals and four assists for six points. In Saturday's 20-12 victory of No. 13 Duke, Kent racked up three goals and five assists for eight points.
