Eagles Cruise Past Holy Cross in Singles

WORCESTER, Mass. – Boston College won all six singles matches on Wednesday to defeat Holy Cross 6-1 in non-conference action at the Sinnott Family Tennis Facility. The Eagles (6-12) collected their sixth win of the season and their first road victory.
After dropping the doubles point to the Crusaders, BC won every singles match in straight sets. Chris Grasel, Markus Nordby, Wills Tutecky, Santiago Montufar, Max Palmer and Will Conigliaro combined to lose a total of 26 games to Holy Cross.
Tutecky was perfect in No. 3 singles with a 6-0, 6-0 sweep, while Grasel paired with Adriano Barilla to win at No. 3 doubles.
Boston College was able to rest several of its top singles players, including Derek Austin, Conor Mullins and Sean Mullins.
The Eagles travel to North Carolina this weekend to face No. 11 UNC on Friday (April 5) and Duke on Sunday (April 7) in search of their first ACC victory.
