Louisville Tops Eagles, 10-2

Boston College to play UMass on the road on Wednesday.
BRIGHTON, Mass. – The Boston College softball team lost to Louisville, 10-2, in the final game of the three-game series at the Harrington Athletics Village on Sunday afternoon.
The Eagles (14-25, 4-11 ACC) lost the series, 2-1, as Louisville (27-15, 8-7 ACC) won the first game on Friday. BC defeated the Cardinals on Saturday, 8-4.
Boston College gave up three home runs, eight hits and committed five errors in the game.
The Cardinals scored one run in the first and broke the game open with four runs in the second inning. Louisville senior Megan Hensley hit a solo home run in the inning, her second of the series.
Boston College scored in the third off a double from senior Carly Severini. Allyson Moore, who opened the inning with a single, scored on the hit to left center. Gianna Randazza scored the second run on a fielder's choice to third hit by Kennedy Labshere as BC was down, 5-2, after two innings.
Louisville tacked two more runs on in the fourth as Charley Butler scored on a home run to right field from Celene Funke. A three-run home run by Hensley, her second of the game in the sixth inning as BC was down, 10-2.
BC had three hits in the game. Allyson Moore, Carly Severini and Gianna Randazza each had a hit while Severini and Randazza recorded an RBI.

- Boston College will play at UMass on Wednesday at 4 p.m. The Eagles will travel to Florida to play the Seminoles in a three-game series next weekend.
