Weather Shortens River Landing Classic in North Carolina

WALLACE, N.C. – Snow shortened the 2019 River Landing Classic to just one completed round as the Boston College women's golf team finished 14th overall at the River Course in UNC Wilmington's annual tournament.

Alexa Rivas and Linrui Chen were tied as the top Eagle finishers in 26th place as each player recorded a +3 round of 75 on day one. Bibilani Liu shot a +9 in round one, while Meg Niu fired an 83 to finish +11.

Chen was tied for fifth at the tournament with three birdies in her opening round.

With a -4 round of 68, East Tennessee State's Hee Ying Loy was the individual champion of the event, but Middle Tennesee claimed the team title by six strokes at +2.

The Eagles return to action in two weekends at the Briar's Creek Invitational in Johns Island, South Carolina on March 18-19, hosted by the College of Charleston.
