
Bolang Meng Wraps Up Competition at NCAA Championships

CLEVELAND – Boston College fencer Bolang Meng wrapped up competition at the 2019 National Collegiate Men's and Women's Fencing Championships today at the Wolstein Center in Cleveland, Ohio.

Meng finished 21st overall in men's sabre, winning seven of his 23 bouts over two days of competition. The freshman defeated fencers from Penn, UC San Diego, Stanford, NJIT, Princeton, Yale and Detroit Mercy. In the round robin, the Foster City, Calif. native had 83 touches and 104 touches received for a differential of -21.

While Meng is done with competition, the 2019Â National Collegiate Men's and Women's Fencing Championships will continue until March 24. A live feed of semifinal and final bouts will be available on ESPN3 or WatchESPN app. Semifinals and finals, along with other championships highlights will air on ESPNU at 2:30 p.m. Eastern time April 3.Â
