Boston College baseball is back in Massachusetts for five games, including four at home, beginning with a Tuesday contest at Northeastern at 3 p.m. The Eagles then return to the Harrington Athletics Village for a 3 p.m. first pitch against Siena on Wednesday; a game that will be broadcast on ACC Network Extra.

ABOUT THE EAGLES

Boston College is 10-8 on the season and 2-4 in ACC play. Freshman outfielder Sal Frelick leads the Eagles in hitting (.397), RBI (18), slugging (.616), walks (10), on-base percentage (.465) and stolen bases (13). Freshman second baseman Cody Morissette is second with a .338 batting average to go with 14 runs scored and 13 driven in. Senior third baseman Jake Alu is the third player in the BC lineup with a .300 or better average at .328. He has homered three times and scored and knocked in 16 runs. Junior first baseman Jack Cunningham is riding a 13-game reached base streak, including a seven-game hit streak, as his average has climbed to .286 with a team-leading four home runs. Freshman right-handed pitcher Joe Mancini gets the ball on Tuesday against Northeastern for his third start of the season. He is 2-1 with a 5.00 earned run average and 10 strikeouts in 18 innings.

SCOUTING THE HUSKIES

Northeastern took three of four from Holy Cross at home to improve to 9-10 on the year. Right fielder Corey DiLoreto is hitting .324 with 15 RBI. First baseman Jake Farrell has homered five times, driven in 17 runs and owns a .316 average. Shortstop Scott Holzwasser sports a 1.004 OPS and .316 average with 19 runs scored. Right-handed pitcher Kyle Murphy goes to the hill for the Huskies on Tuesday. He is 1-1 with a 6.23 ERA in 13 innings across eight relief appearances. Last season, Northeastern won the CAA regular season title and received an at-large bid to the Raleigh Regional.

ALL-TIME VS. NU

Boston College leads the all-time series over Northeastern, 57-36-1, including an 18-12-1 record against the Huskies in Brookline. The Eagles have the longest win streak in series history at eight games between 1997 and 2000. A six-game BC win streak was snapped last season.

LAST TIME THEY MET

BC and Northeastern christened the Harrington Athletics Village with an epic 18-inning affair on March 20, 2018. The Huskies grabbed the win, 7-4, with a three-run top of the 18th. The Eagles responded by loading the bases in the bottom half, but RHP David Stiehl induced a fly ball to end the game. Charlie McConnell, who tripled to lead off the 18th and scored the game-winning run, went 5-for-9 for Northeastern. Jake Palomaki and Chris Galland each had three hits for BC.

SCOUTING THE SAINTS

Siena is 4-11 with all 15 games played on the road this season. The Saints are hitting just .186 as a team, while opponents are hitting .309. Shortstop and leadoff hitter Devan Kruzinski is hitting .213 with a team-leading 13 hits and seven RBI.
