Women's Track & Field Heads Crosstown for ECAC Championship

Eagles set to compete in middle distance, distance, relays, and long jump
CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. — It will be a busy weekend for the women's track & field team as it competes at 2019 ECAC Indoor Track & Field Championship at the Boston University Track & Tennis Center.
The Eagles will have a strong presence from 800-5,000m, as well as the 4x400, 4x800, and distance medley relays. Additionally, Julia Lyons will attempt to defend her ECAC long jump crown from a season ago. Last week, Lyons placed ninth at the ACC Indoor Championship with a leap of 5.90m (19'4.25").
Gianna Bender and Anna Harmon will compete in the 800m run. Bender is looking to close an outstanding indoor campaign. She clocked a 2:11.78 this past weekend at ACC's, while Harmon finished close behind at 2:13.34. Bender will also be part of the Eagles' 4x400m relay, while Harmon will also compete in the 4x800.
Emily Criscuolo will race the 1,000m at ECAC's. Last week, she competed in the mile run at the ACC Championship (5:02.35).
Jessica Martin will race the mile, while Nicole Clermont will double in the mile and 3,000m. Clermont is coming off a 9:44.33 performance in the 3k at the ACC Championship. Four other BC runners will toe the line in the 3k - Emeline Delanis, Fian Sullivan Sweeney, Kayla Smith, and Jillian Skerry. Delanis will also be competing in the 5,000m run - coming off an outstanding run at ACC's, where she placed fifth in 16:13.46. Lauren White will also compete in the 5k.
The 4x400m relay squad will be made up of Bender, Monica Heil, Jessica Creedon, and Sarah Heckel. The four runners in the 4x800m relay are Harmon, Kat Deloreto, Katherine Mitchell, and Emily Kane. The DMR lineup is still TBD but will include Emma Taylor at 400m and Kylee Raftis in the 1,600m.
