Eagles drop their first game of the weekend in Madeira Beach
BC totaled seven hits on the afternoon, including home runs from Gianna Boccagno and Emme Martinez.
A fielder's choice RBI for St. John's in the first opened the scoring for the Red Storm. BC would tie the game at one in the second as Boccagno belted her team-leading fourth homer of the season.
St. John's scored four in the fourth on two hits, including a bases loaded double by Christina Melendez to put the Red Storm in front 5-1.
Madison Morris went the distance for the win for St. John's, tossing 7.0 innings with seven strikeouts.
Lexi DiEmmanuele went 3-for-4 with a double and stolen base to pace the Eagles offensively. She is one stolen base away from tying the Boston College all-time stolen base record.
Maddison Hamilton added two hits for the Eagles.
Boston College (3-8) returns to action later on Friday against Penn State.
