Gutstein Leads Eagles in Slalom at Dartmouth Carnival

LYME, N.H. – The Boston College alpine skiing team competed in the slalom on Saturday at the Dartmouth Carnival, held at the Dartmouth Skiway in New Hampshire.

Trent Gutstein and Bobby Ryan both finished inside the top-35 in the men's slalom, as Gutstein placed 31st with a combined time of 1:41.04. Ryan was just two spots behind Gutstein in 33rd with his time of 1:41.42.

Parker Biele led the women's team and barely missed a top-35 with a 36th place finish as she posted a combined time of 1:49.11. Natalie Wetmore (1:50.16) placed 41st for the Eagles, while Kelsie Grant (2:11.12) earned 49th.

Friday's giant slalom at Dartmouth was postponed due to rain and icy conditions. The GS will be made up next weekend around the Middlebury Carnival, which takes place on Feb. 15-16 in Vermont.
