Eagles and No. 15 River Hawks Battle for Playoff Position on NESN

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – Prior to meeting Northeastern in the title game of the 67th Beanpot on Monday, Boston College travels to Tsongas Center on Friday night (Feb. 8) to close the regular season series against No. 15 UMass Lowell. The Eagles need a win against the River Hawks to tie the season series 1-1-1. All the action will air live on NESN, and radio coverage begins at 6:45 p.m. on WEEI 850 AM and BCEagles.com. BC is 3-1-1 in its last five games, including a 2-1 victory over 17th-ranked Harvard on Monday to open the Beanpot, while UML owns the second-longest unbeaten streak in the nation at 7-0-1.
WE WERE MERELY FRESHMEN
• Rookies accounted for both goals and three of the team's five points on Monday in the Beanpot victory over No. 17 Harvard
• Patrick Giles picked up his first career goal in the first period, while Oliver Wahlstrom set up Jack McBain for the eventual game-winner in the third period
• Over the last seven games, Wahlstrom has collected more than half of his total points with three goals and five assists, including three multi-point outings
• Since the start of December, he and his linemate McBain have both produced nine points
FIRST TWO MEETINGS
• Then-No. 19 UMass Lowell took three of four points from BC two weekends ago in a home-and-home series
• Ryan Dmowski's one-timer early in the third period broke a 1-1 tie and Lowell added an empty-netter in the final minute to seal a 3-1 Hockey East victory at Kelley Rink on Jan. 25
