Freshman right-handed pitcher Joe Mancini (Fairfield, Conn.) pitched five innings of one-run ball and needed just 59 pitches to earn the win. Mancini (1-0) allowed just two hits and one run, a solo home run in the second, with two walks in his first career start.

Boston College put up two crooked numbers early with four runs in the second and four again in the third. The Eagles added two more in the fourth for a stretch of 10 runs in the three innings. Freshman second baseman Cody Morissette (Exeter, N.H.) homered in the innings for BC.

The Eagles' scoring was capped off in the eighth with a two-run home run by junior center fielder Dante Baldelli (Cumberland, R.I.). Baldelli drove in five runs on the day and scored three as he went 2-for-5 with a triple.

Three other BC players collected multi-hit games, including Morissette's 2-for-4, three-run game. Sophomore designated hitter Chris Galland (Sudbury, Mass.) contributed a 2-for-5, two-RBI day from the leadoff spot and junior right fielder Joe Suozzi (Glen Cove, N.Y.) was 2-for-3 with three runs scored.

BC HIGHLIGHTS
- Suozzi started the second inning with a bunt-single and scored from third on a wild pitch. Baldelli tripled in the inning, the first of his career, to drive in the second run.
- The Eagles their second consecutive four-run inning as Suozzi collected the first hit of the third; a double to left-center. An error opened the door for the first run, a wild pitch scored the second, a Frelick single scored the third and a sacrifice-bunt by Dempsey plated the fourth.
- Mancini pitched a three-up, three-down inning on just four pitches in the bottom of the fourth.
- Frelick drew a leadoff-walk in the fifth and stole both second and third; the second time he has done so in one inning this season.
- Morissette hit his first career home run and collected third multi-hit game of the season by adding a double.
- BC has homered in three consecutive games for the first time since homering in five straight with 11 home runs in total from March 31 to April 5, 2015.
- Baldelli hit his second career home run. His first was a walk-off grand slam vs. Virginia Tech (3/24/18).
- Baldelli drove in a career-high five runs; besting the four off his grand slam vs. the Hokies.
- Baldelli became the first Eagle to drive in five runs in a game since Gian Martellini vs. Duke (4/15/17).
- The Eagles trail the all-time series against Bethune-Cookman, 3-6.
The Eagles head to the "Bluegrass State" for eight games over a 10-day stretch beginning with Friday, March 1 vs. Evansville and Eastern Kentucky in a doubleheader.
