Eagles Final Road Game At No. 4 Louisville Sunday

Eagles-Cardinals tip at 2 on the ACC Network
The Boston College women's basketball team will play at No. 4 Louisville (24-2, 11-2 ACC) on Sunday at the KFC Yum! Center at 2 p.m. The game can be viewed on the ACC Network.

Boston College is coming off a tough road loss at North Carolina, 93-78, despite a 21-point, 9-rebound effort from freshman Taylor Soule. Junior Emma Guy added 15 points, while junior Taylor Ortlepp tallied a career-high nine rebounds with five steals.

Louisville defeated Virginia, 71-49, on Thursday as five players scored in double-figures. Dana Evans led the team with 13 points and six assists.

BC vs. LOUISVILLE
- Boston College (14-13, 3-11 ACC) and Louisville have played six times. The Cardinals lead the overall series, 5-1.
- BC's only victory over Louisville came in the first meeting on Dec. 28, 1085. BC defeated the Cardinals, 74-68, behind Marie Grant's 20-point, 9-rebound effort at the WRAL Classic hosted by NC State. Â
- Coach Joanna Bernabei-McNamee was an assistant coach at Maryland alongside current Louisville head coach Jeff Walz when the Terps won the 2005-06 National Championship.
- BC assistant coach AJ Cohen was a practice player and video assistant coordinator for the Louisville program. He is a 2013 graduate of Louisville.

- Freshman Taylor Soule is coming off her best game of the season as she tallied a career-high 21 points, matched her career-high in rebounds with nine and had two steals. Soule shot 8-for-17 from the floor and 5-for-5 from the foul line. It was the second time in the last three games that Soule has led BC in scoring.
- Boston College is third overall in the ACC in assists per game (456 total assists, 16.9 apg.). The Eagles are second in the conference in offensive rebounds (15.6 rpg.).
- Junior Emma Guy, who leads BC in scoring (14.0 ppg.), is fifth overall in the ACC in field goal percentage (59.6%). Guy has also tallied double-figures in points in 18 games for the Eagles this season.
- Freshman Makayla Dickens is 13th in the conference in assists per game at 3.8 a game. She is the only freshman guard in the Top 15 of the ACC in assists per game. Dickens is also averaging 12.5 points per game, the second highest scoring freshman in the conference.

- Former Eagles guard Kerri Shields '13 notched her 1,000th career point on Feb. 24, 2013 against Maryland. Upon graduation, Shields was the all-time leader in three-pointers made with 252. She is now third on the all-time list.
