Eagles to Participate in U.S. Soccer Spring Development Program

BC is one of 13 NCAA schools that will take part in this year's program.
CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. - The Boston College men's soccer team will be one of 13 NCAA men's soccer programs that will compete in the second annual College Development Program, as announced Friday by U.S. Soccer. The program, which runs March 2-April 26, is a collaboration between U.S. Soccer and the NCAA that is designed to further player development opportunities.
BC, Providence, UConn, Rutgers and Syracuse will comprise the North Division while the South Division will feature two groups of Georgetown, Pitt, Virginia Tech, and Virginia and Clemson, Duke, North Carolina and Wake Forest.
The games will operate similar a U.S. Soccer Development Academy match: featuring traditional timekeeping, a maximum gameday roster of 18 players and three substitution moments with no re-entry. The Eagles will face each other team in the North Division once from March 23-April 26, and the team with the most points will be named the Division champion.
