Eagles Release 2019 Rowing Schedule

BC rowing opens season March 24 at the Cooper Sprints.
CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – Boston College head rowing coach Steve Fiske announced his team's competition schedule for the spring semester Wednesday afternoon. The Eagles have eight races on the docket beginning with the Cooper Sprints in Collingswood, N.J. on Sunday, March 24 and concluding at the ACC Championships in Clemson, S.C. May 17-18.

Last season, BC kicked off its 2018 campaign with a doubleheader in Philadelphia on March 24 and the Cooper Sprints on March 25. In last year's Cooper Springs, the third varsity eight, varsity four and second varsity eight advanced to the Grand Final, while the varsity eight advanced to the Petite Final.

The Eagles' schedule continues with the MIT, BU Lightweight on March 30. Boston College competes twice in the same weekend with a meet against Northeastern and BU on April 6 and a second meet against Holy Cross and UConn on April 7 in Worcester.

BC returns to the Knecht Cup, which the second varsity eight took first place in last year, on April 13 in West Windsor, N.J. The month concludes against Rhode Island in Boston on April 27.

The final meet of the regular season is the Women's Sprints in Worcester on May 5. The Eagles then head south for the ACC Championship. Last year's top finishing boats for BC at the ACC Championship was the second varsity eight and the varsity four.
