- Sophomore Marnelle Garraud recorded her first career double-double with 12 points and 10 assists vs. VCU. She is averaging 2.5 steals a game, which is tops in the ACC.

Last Time Out
Sophomore Taylor Soule scored 22 points and had nine rebounds but it was not enough as the Eagles fell at Duke, 85-73, in the ACC opener last Sunday.Â

BC shot just 30 percent from the floor and fell behind 23-14 after the first quarter. The second quarter BC put together a 10-0 run and cut the lead to two points but Duke pulled away in the final three minutes of the half to take a 40-34 lead. The closest BC would get in the second half was five points with under six minutes to play in the third quarter.

Despite 25 turnovers from Duke, the Eagles could not capitalize on the mistakes. Â Sophomore Makayla Dickens pitched in with 16 points, while Marnelle Garraud had 11 points with three assists and two steals. Duke was led by Haley Gorecki with 27 points, seven assists and five steals.

- Last year Boston College defeated Boston University, 78-51, at Conte Forum. Taylor Ortlepp hit five three-pointers and finished with a team-high 19 points in the win. Emma Guy had seven points and 13 rebounds while Marnelle Garraud had 10 points and six rebounds.
- The first meeting between the two teams took place on Jan. 17, 1978.
- BU won the first five meetings between the two teams. BC's first win over BU came in 1983 on the road.

What's Going On?
- The women's basketball team will honor former BC Head Coach Cathy Inglese by wearing a CI patch on their uniforms for all ACC games this season.
- Inglese was the head coach at Boston College for 13 seasons from 1993-2008. She guided the Eagles to a 239-151 record during her tenure. Inglese led the Eagles to seven NCAA Tournament appearances, including three trips to the Sweet 16. Inglese passed away suddenly in July.
- The program will honor Inglese on Alumni Day – Sunday, Jan. 12 vs. UVA.
