Gotham Classic Action Continues on Wednesday Night

Get Your Picture With Santa Claus:
Visit the Coca-Cola Caravan prior to the game and get a free photo with Santa Claus! The Coca-Cola Caravan will run from 3-7 p.m. outside of gate C of Conte Forum.

Free Admission for Kids 12 and Under:
All kids 12 and under get into Wednesday night's game vs. Eastern Washington for FREE.

Clear Bag Policy:
Similar to football season, a clear bag policy will be in effect for all men's basketball games at Conte Forum. Approved bags for entrance to Conte Forum include a clear plastic bag that does not exceed 12"x12"x6", a one-gallon sized clear plastic bag, or a small clutch wristlet or handheld wallet.

Concessions:
$2 hot dogs all game long! New kids fare will be available in Conte Forum and all items will be $1.50. The fare includes Uncrustables peanut butter and jelly sandwich, Goldfish snack crackers, and "kid popular" bottled drinks provided by Coca-Cola. Additionally, all concessions (with the exception of alcohol) will be discounted by 50% pre-game, prior to tip-off.

Merchandise:
All fans arriving early are eligible to purchase one item from the Conte Forum merchandise shop for 25% up until tip-off.

Preferred Mutual Family Section:

Boston College is 2-1 all-time versus opponents from the Big Sky.
The Eagles are 1-1 vs. Montana and 1-0 against Southern Utah.

BOSTON COLLEGE IN MTE / IN-SEASON TOURNAMENT PLAY

Tonight's contest is the third of four games in the Gotham Classic.
Dating back to the 1951-52 season, Boston College has compiled a 95-86 record in MTE and in-season tournaments.
In the Gotham Classic, BC is 1-1 - beating High Point, 59-33, and losing to Belmont, 100-85.
Last year, BC won the inaugural Fort Myers Tipoff.
The Eagles were 3-1 in Fort Myers Tipoff play, downing Loyola Chicago, 78-66, for the tournament title on Nov. 21, 2018.

BOSTON COLLEGE AT CONTE FORUM

Boston College is 319-180 all-time at the Silvio O. Conte Forum.
In ACC play, the Eagles are 57-65 in league games at Conte Forum.
BC is 2-1 at home this year.
Last year, BC was 10-8 at home - marking the 18th time since 1989-90 that BC won 10+ games at Conte Forum in a single-season.

THE OFFICIAL NIK POPOVIC 1,000 POINT WATCH IS ON - EIGHT POINTS AWAY

Nik Popovic is eight points away from becoming the 45th member of Boston College's 1,000 point club.
The 6-11 senior is ranks second on the Eagles in scoring this season, averaging 15.3 points per game.
He would be the fourth BC player in the last three seasons to reach the 1,000 career point mark, joining Jerome Robinson, Ky Bowman, and Jordan Chatman.

THE MONARCH OF #WINNINGPLAYS: MITCHELL DOES IT ALL

Steffon Mitchell leads BC in rebounding (9.5), blocks (1.8), and steals (2.5) per game, while ranking second in assists (4.3).
BC's Monarch of #WinningPlays has led the team in rebounds and blocks in all four games, and assists and steals twice.
He is the only player nationally to log 9.5 rebounds, 4.3 assists, 2.5 stels, and 1.8 blocked shots per game.
Against High Point, Mitchell logged his seventh career double-double, with 10 points and 10 rebounds.
It was his highest scoring total and first double-double since Dec. 4, 2018 vs. Providence (10p/11r).
Mitchell also had two assists, four steals, and a blocked shot on his statline vs. High Point.
In the ACC, he ranks second in steals, seventh in rebounding and blocks, 12th in assists, and second in assist/turnover.
In 108 minutes played through four games, Mitchell has committed only four turnovers.

WILLIAMS, HERREN GET GOING OFFENSIVELY VS. BELMONT

Reserves Kamari Williams and Chris Herren Jr. had their largest scoring outputs of the season vs. Belmont.
Williams scored a season-high 10 points in 14 minutes of play, knocking down 3-of-4 from the floor (2-3 3FG; 2-2 FT).
Herren Jr. scored six points on 3-of-6 shooting in 19 minutes of play.

NOT THROWING AWAY HIS SHOT

Jared Hamilton shot 5-of-6 - including both 3-point attempts - en route to scoring a season-high 12 points against High Point.
The senior logged his first double-digit scoring output of the season all in the first half.
Hamilton is shooting close to 48% from the floor and 45% from the perimeter through four games.
He ranks fourth on the team in scoring, at 6.5 points per game, this season.

THE DEFENSIVE HIGH POINT

Boston College held High Point to the lowest scoring total by an opponent in Jim Christian's tenure - 33 points.
The point total is the lowest by a BC opponent since holding NJIT to 32 points in Jan. 5, 2010.
It ties as for the second-lowest points allowed since the 1946-47 season and is the second-lowest of the NCAA shot clock era.
Among all ACC teams, the 33 points allowed ranks first, behind Virginia - which held a pair of opponents to 34 points.
In games featuring two Division I opponents, it ranks third for the lowest point total allowed this season.

NIK POPOVIC: THE ACC'S MOST UNDERAPPRECIATED PLAYER

Nik Popovic enters the 2019-20 season as the most underappreciated player in the ACC.
Last year, he was one of only six players in the ACC to rank in the top 20 in scoring and rebounding and top 10 in FG%.
The others: RJ Barrett/Zion Williamson (Duke), Kerry Blackshear Jr. (VT), Torin Dorn (NCST), and John Mooney (ND).
He averaged 14.5 points (17th), 7.2 rebounds (15th), while connecting on 52.6% (3rd) of his FG attempts - all career-highs.
In his first two seasons at BC, the 6-10 forward registered two double-doubles in points and rebounds.
In 2018-19, Popovic had seven double-doubles - tying for 10th-best in the ACC.
Popovic has improved his season averages in scoring, rebounding and FG% in each of his three seasons at the Heights.

STEFFON MITCHELL DOES IT ALL

Junior forward Steffon Mitchell has led Boston College in at least one statistical category (scoring, rebounding, assists, steals, blocked shots) in 59 of his 65 career games.
Mitchell has led BC in rebounding and blocked shots in each of the first four games; and has led in assists and steals twice.
Over his first two seasons of play, Mitchell has been one of the top rebounders in the ACC.
Last year, he ranked fifth overall in the league (7.9 rpg). As a freshman, he ranked seventh in the conference (8.3 rpg).
As a freshman, the Shakopee, Minn. native became the first true freshman in BC history to average better than 8.0 rpg.
A skilled passer from the post, he is averaging 2.3 assists per game as well as a 2.45:1 assist/turnover ratio in his career.
Last season, his FG attempts per game dropped from 5.1 FGA/g to 2.7, however, the 6-8 forward spent the summer getting up close to 1,000 jumpers per day inside Power Gym.
