
Eagles Head to New England Championships

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – The Boston College men's cross country team is heading to Franklin Park in Jamaica Plain, Massachusetts for the New England Championships on Saturday, Oct. 12.
"We are looking to improve upon our 10th place finish from 2018 and have been training very well since the Battle in Beantown," said Head Coach Matt Kerr. "Sean Sullivan and Ben Ruffing continue to lead the charge and our focus remains to keep a close spread from 1-5."
Last time out at the Battle in Beantown, Sean Sullivan led the Eagles with a time of 25:46, with Ben Ruffing following with a 26:05.
Erik Linden and John Wacker have been in BC's top-five in both meets this season, while Alex Horgan finished in fifth on the team at the Battle in Beantown and Gordon Pollack in fifth at the Nassaney Invitational.
BC started off the season strong with a second-place finish at the Nassaney Invitational, where Sullivan and Ruffing finished seventh and eighth, respectively. BC placed five in the top 23 to score 80 points.
