Eagles Drop 77-71 Decision to Syracuse

Jordan Chatman and Ky Bowman lead Boston College with 21 points apiece
CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. -- Syracuse junior guard Tyus Battle led all scorers with 31 points as the visiting Orange defeated Boston College 77-71 Wednesday evening at Conte Forum. The win marked the first for Syracuse at Conte Forum in its last three visits to the Heights.
Syracuse moved to 15-6 overall and 6-2 in the ACC while BC dropped to 11-8 on the season and 2-5 in conference play.
The Orange shot 55.8 percent for the night and drained 11 shots from three-point range in the victory.
Syracuse took a 42-35 lead into halftime as the Orange shot 63% in the first half. A 14-0 Orange run helped pad the halftime advantage as Tyus Battle led the way with 10 points for the visitors.
Syracuse used seven three pointers in the first half as the Orange were 7-of-14 from downtown.
Boston College shot 50% from the field and made five from behind the arc in the first half. Jordan Chatman led the Eagles with 12 points in the opening 20 minutes while Ky Bowman chipped in with 10 points.
BC would get as close as two in the second half on two occasions, the last time with 12:08 remaining at 53-51
Three Eagles finished in double-figures, led by Chatman and Bowman with 21 apiece. Junior forward Nik Popovic contributed 11 points for the Eagles.
