Eagles Travel to Wake Forest for Saturday Afternoon Matchup

BC plays its fourth road game through its first six in ACC play
BOSTON COLLEGE VS. WAKE FOREST - ALL-TIME SERIES
- Today's game marks the 24th meeting between the two schools.
- BC is 13-10 all-time vs. Wake Forest, dating back to 1980-81.
- In ACC play, Boston College is 10-10 against Wake Forest.
- Wake Forest has captured four of the last five matchups.
- Three of those wins came during the 2016-17 season.
- Last season, the Eagles snapped its four-game slide vs. the Demon Deacons with a 77-71 win on Jan. 6, 2018 at Conte Forum.
BOSTON COLLEGE IN ACC PLAY
- Boston College is 78-147 in 13 seasons in the ACC.
- The Eagles finished with a 7-11 record in ACC play last year - the most conference wins since the 2012-13 season.
- The Eagles' best ACC mark came in its inaugural season, going 11-5 in conference play in 2005-06 en route to a third place finish.
- BC tied for third in 2006-07 (10-6) and fourth in 2010-11 (9-7).
KY BOWMAN:Â THE NATION'S MOST DYNAMIC GUARD
- Ky Bowman is the only player in the country averaging at least: 20.9 points, 8.4 rebounds, 3.6 assists, 1.4 steals, and 0.7 blocks per game. Â
- It is the most well-rounded stat line in 26 years of Division I basketball.
- In 1992-93, Penny Hardaway of Memphis posted at least that stat line (21.0 ppg/8.5 rpg/6.4 apg/2.5 spg/1.2 bpg).
- Bowman is the only player nationally at 6-1 or shorter to average 7.8 rebounds and 0.9 blocks per game.
- Last year, Bowman was the only player in the country to average at least 17.6 points, 6.8 rebounds, and 4.7 assists per game.
- Since the 1990-91 season, only 10 players have registered at least those season averages.
- One of those players was National Player of the Year - Denzel Valentine of Michigan State in 2016.
- Three were top three NBA Draft picks: Ben Simmons, LSU (#1, 2016); Evan Turner, Ohio State (#2, 2010); and Hardaway, Memphis (#3, 1993).
- Five were first round NBA Draft picks: Simmons; Turner; Hardaway; Valentine (#14, 2016); Bob Sura, FSU (#17, 1995).
- Seven were named their conference's Player of the Year: Valentine (2015-16); Hardaway (1991-92); Turner (2009-10); Trenton Hassell, Austin Peay (1999-2000); Ricky Minard, Morehead State (2002-03); T.J. Cline, Richmond (2016-17); Patrick Cole N.C. Central (2016-17).
- Nine of the 10 earned Associated Press All-American honors.

- Since 2016-17, Boston College is 6-2 when Jordan Chatman makes five or more 3-pointers.
- The 15-point deficit that BC overcame in the Jan. 20 win over Florida State is the largest since Feb. 13, 2018 at Pitt (15 points).
- Versus Florida State, Ky Bowman became the fifth player in 2018-19 to score at least 37 points and shoot at least 70% from the floor in a single game. Bowman was 13-of-18 from the field, including 6-of-8 from beyond the arc.
- Ky Bowman ranks first nationally in percentage of minutes played - at 95.5% - according to KenPom. Â
ACC EXCLUSIVE & EAGLES AMONG THE LEAGUE LEADERS
- Ky Bowman is one of two players in the ACC to rank among the top five in scoring (3rd, 20.9) and rebounding (5th, 8.4). Â
- Zion Williamson of Duke (2nd, 21.7 ppg; 4th, 9.3 rpg) is the other. Â
- Three Eagles rank among the top 10 in FT% in the ACC: Wynston Tabbs is third (47-56, 83.9%), Ky Bowman sixth (72-88, 81.8%), and Jordan Chatman ninth (42-52, 80.8%).
- Nik Popovic is one of five ACC players to rank among the top 25 in the league in scoring and rebounding, and among the top 10 in FG percentage. The others: Williamson, Jordan Nwora (Louisville), Torin Dorn (NC State), and Jaylen Hoard (Wake Forest).
- BC is the only ACC team with two players averaging 8.0 rebounds per game (Bowman/Mitchell) and three players averaging 7.0 rebounds per game (Bowman/Mitchell/Popovic).
BOSTON COLLEGE EXCLUSIVE
- Ky Bowman is one of two players in BC history to accumulate 1,400 points, 500 rebounds, 300 assists, and 100 steals.
- The other is Jared Dudley, who from 2003-07, tallied 2,071 points, 936 boards, 395 assists, and 176 steals in his four year career.
- Both players reached those career statistical totals as juniors. Dudley was at 1500/688/305/134 at the conclusion of his third year.
- Bowman is one of only 18 players in ACC history to reach those career totals.
BOSTON COLLEGE MAKING A 3-POINT TURN
- Boston College had its best 3-point shooting performance last time out against Florida State, making 13-of-21 - good for 61.9%.
- The 13 makes were the most this season and highest single-game total since Feb. 28, 2018 vs. Syracuse (14 3FG made).
- The 61.9% 3-point proficiency is the highest in a single-game since Jan. 5, 2010: 69.2% (9-for-13) vs. NJIT.
- Individually, Ky Bowman is shooting better than 10% better from beyond the arc during conference play.
- Last time out vs. Florida State, Bowman made his first five 3-point attempts and finished 6-of-8 from the outside.
- Bowman is connecting on 44.4% (16-36) from 3-point land in ACC games. He was at 34.2% (26-76) during non-conference play.
- Jordan Chatman is red-hot from the outside in his last two games, making 11-of-17 shots from the outside - a 64.7% clip.
- In his first 12 games played, Chatman connected on just 16-of-62 (25.8) and was 2-of-19 in his previous four games.
WINDEX:Â MORE ABOUT KY BOWMAN ON THE DEFENSIVE GLASS
- Ky Bowman's 34 defensive rebounds tallied in from Jan. 12-20 ranks second nationally, behind John Mooney's (ND) 39.
- If his season averages hold up, Ky Bowman would be the first player since Danya Abrams to average at least 20 points and eight rebounds per game. Abrams registered 22.1 points and 9.1 rebounds per game as a sophomore in 1994-95.
- Ky Bowman's 16 defensive rebounds at Notre Dame on Jan. 12 were the most by a Boston College player in program history.
- His 16 defensive rebounds at Notre Dame tie for the second-most in a single 40 minute game this season.
- Since 1996-97, only two other players 6-1 or shorter have grabbed 16 defensive rebounds in a 40 minute game: Norris Cole of Cleveland State (vs. Youngstown State, Feb. 12, 2011) and Rajon Rondo of Kentucky (vs. Iowa, Nov. 21, 2005).
THE JORDAN CHATMAN 1,000 POINT WATCH IS UNDERWAY
- Jordan Chatman needs 10 more points to reach 1,000 for his collegiate career.
- In 115 total games between BYU and Boston College from 2015-present, he has scored 990 points.
- Chatman has scored 895 career points for the Eagles and needs to average just over 8.0 points per game through the remainder of the regular season to become the 44th member of Boston College's 1,000 point club.
STEFFON MITCHELL STILL STUFFING STAT SHEETS AS A SOPHOMORE
- Steffon Mitchell has led Boston College in at least one statistical category in 10 of the 13 games in which he has appeared.
- Last time out vs. Florida State, Mitchell led BC in assists (4), blocks (3), and steals (2), while also grabbing eight boards.
- The sophomore has led the team in rebounding six times, including a season-high 14 boards vs. Milwaukee on Nov. 6.
- Boston College is 5-1 this season - and 14-10 over the past two years - when Mitchell is the team's top rebounder.
- He has led BC in blocked shots six times so far in 2018-19 - including consecutive games with a career-high three swats.
- He has led the Eagles in steals on five occasions, including a career-best five swipes vs. Providence on Dec. 4.
- Last year, Mitchell led BC in at least one stat category - scoring, rebounding, assists, blocks, or steals - in 31 of 34 games
- Mitchell has four double-doubles so far in 2018-19 and six for his career.
FOR THE ANALYTICS CROWD
- So far this season, Boston College has had four single-game efficiency ratings of 30 or more.
- Efficiency rating is calculated using the following formula: (PTS + REB + AST + STL + BLK - Missed Shots - TO)
- Ky Bowman set the season high-mark vs. Hartford, with an efficiency rating of 45. He was at 40 after the Florida State game.
- Wynston Tabbs held the previous season high, with an EFF rating of 38 against Sacred Heart on Nov. 29.
- Versus Columbia, both Nik Popovic (32) and Bowman (30) recorded at least a mark of 30.
DOUBLE-DIGIT DEFICITS
- Boston College erased a 15-point first half deficit to earn an 87-82 comeback win over Florida State on Jan. 20.
- BC trailed 40-25 with 5:45 to play in the opening frame before starting a 49-20 run over the next 18:50.
- The Eagles led 74-60 with 6:55 left in regulation, going +29 in less than 19 clock minutes.
- On Dec. 22, Boston College erased a 12-point first half deficit at DePaul to emerge with the 65-62 win.
- The Eagles trailed 32-20 with 3:11 left in the first half. BC took its first lead with 35 seconds remaining.
- BC has bounced back to win after trailing by 10+ points on three occasions, beginning with the season opener vs. Milwaukee.
- In that game, the Eagles trailed 26-12 with 8:46 left in the first half and 40-27 with 19:31 remaining in regulation.
- BC outscored Milwaukee, 46-13, the rest of the way - marking its largest second half comeback since Nov. 22, 2017.
- In that game, BC trailed by 15 points to Colgate at home before coming back to win, 83-79.
- Thru the 2017-18 season, the Eagles have trailed by 10 or more points 15 times before tying, taking the lead, or winning. Â
- Last season, Boston College came back from double-digit deficits en route to victory on five occasions.

- Ky Bowman is 18th on the all-time scoring list (1,427 points) and needs 64 to pass Sean Marshall '07 (1,491) for 17th. Bowman needs 164 points to pass Jerome Robinson (1,591) for 16th on the list.
- Jordan Chatman needs 10 points to reach 1,000 for his college career; 105 to score 1,000 points at Boston College; three more 3-pointers to crack Boston College's top 10 career 3FGM list.
