Full Team Effort Leads to 87-82 win over #11/11 Florida State

Ky Bowman leads all scorers with 37 points; Jordan Chatman adds 17
CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. -- Boston College junior guard Ky Bowman opened the game by making his first seven shots and scored a game-high 37 points as BC stormed from behind to defeat No. 11 Florida State, 87-82, Sunday afternoon at Conte Forum.
After trailing 46-36 at halftime, BC opened the second half on a 25-6 run as the Eagles earned their first win over a ranked team since a 72-70 win over No. 25 Miami on Feb. 10, 2018. It marked the second straight season BC has defeated a nationally ranked FSU team at Conte Forum.
The win moved BC to 10-7 overall and 1-4 in the ACC while the Seminoles dropped to 13-5 and 1-4 in league play.
Florida State led 46-36 at halftime despite 18 first-half points by Bowman. The junior guard started 7-for-7 from the field, including four from downtown over the opening 20 minutes of play. BC led 24-23 before the Seminoles used a 12-0 run in the first half to pull ahead of the Eagles at 35-24. FSU's bench was key in the first half as they outscored BC 17-4.
The Eagles opened the second half on a 21-4 run and held FSU scoreless for the first 3:17 of the half to regain the lead, 57-50. Bowman keyed the run with six points of his own, including a triple from deep to tie the game at 48 before three straight three pointers from Jordan Chatman handed BC a 57-50 advantage.
Chatman led a torrid second half for the Eagles, draining five three-pointers to help key the comeback. After scoring two points in the first 20 minutes, Chatman added 15 points in the second half.
BC drilled eight from behind the arc on 10 attempts in the second half to outscore the Seminoles 51-36 over the final 20 minutes of play.
