BOSTON COLLEGE VS. LOUISVILLE - ALL-TIME SERIES
- Today's game marks the 10th meeting between the two schools.
- Boston College is 3-6 all-time vs. Louisville.
- The Eagles have dropped their last five versus the Cardinals.
- BC is 0-4 vs. the Cardinals in ACC play.
- Last year, BC lost 77-69 at the KFC Yum! Center on Jan. 21, 2018.
- Ky Bowman scored 16 points, while Jordan Chatman and Nik Popovic each had 12. Steffon Mitchell grabbed 11 rebounds.
BOSTON COLLEGE IN ACC PLAY
- Boston College is 77-146 in 13 seasons in the ACC.
- The Eagles finished with a 7-11 record in ACC play last year - the most conference wins since the 2012-13 season.
- The Eagles' best ACC mark came in its inaugural season, going 11-5 in conference play in 2005-06 en route to a third place finish.
- BC tied for third in 2006-07 (10-6) and fourth in 2010-11 (9-7).
KY BOWMAN:Â THE NATION'S MOST DYNAMIC GUARD
- Ky Bowman is the only player in the country averaging at least: 20.3 points, 8.0 rebounds, 3.4 assists, 1.5 steals, and 0.7 blocks per game. Â
- It is the most well-rounded stat line in 26 years of Division I basketball.
- In 1992-93, Penny Hardaway of Memphis posted at least that stat line (21.0 ppg/8.5 rpg/6.4 apg/2.5 spg/1.2 bpg).
- Bowman is the only player nationally at 6-1 or shorter to average 7.8 rebounds and 0.9 blocks per game.
- Last year, Bowman was the only player in the country to average at least 17.6 points, 6.8 rebounds, and 4.7 assists per game.
- Since the 1990-91 season, only 10 players have registered at least those season averages.
- One of those players was National Player of the Year - Denzel Valentine of Michigan State in 2016.
- Three were top three NBA Draft picks: Ben Simmons, LSU (#1, 2016); Evan Turner, Ohio State (#2, 2010); and Hardaway, Memphis (#3, 1993).
- Five were first round NBA Draft picks: Simmons; Turner; Hardaway; Valentine (#14, 2016); Bob Sura, FSU (#17, 1995).
- Seven were named their conference's Player of the Year: Valentine (2015-16); Hardaway (1991-92); Turner (2009-10); Trenton Hassell, Austin Peay (1999-2000); Ricky Minard, Morehead State (2002-03); T.J. Cline, Richmond (2016-17); Patrick Cole N.C. Central (2016-17).
- Nine of the 10 earned Associated Press All-American honors.

- If his season averages hold up, Ky Bowman would be the first player since Danya Abrams to average at least 20 points and eight rebounds per game. Abrams registered 22.1 points and 9.1 rebounds per game as a sophomore in 1994-95.
- Ky Bowman's 16 defensive rebounds were the most by a Boston College player in program history.
- His 16 defensive rebounds tie for the second-most in a single 40 minute game this season.
- Since 1996-97, only two other players 6-1 or shorter have grabbed 16 defensive rebounds in a 40 minute game: Norris Cole of Cleveland State (vs. Youngstown State, Feb. 12, 2011) and Rajon Rondo of Kentucky (vs. Iowa, Nov. 21, 2005).
- Ky Bowman is the only returning starter for BC to appear in all 15 games so far. Nik Popovic (two), Jordan Chatman (three), and Steffon Mitchell (four) have all missed time due to injury.
- Boston College has not had its entire roster of eligible scholarship athletes dress in the same game since Nov. 14.
ACC EXCLUSIVE
- Ky Bowman is one of two players in the ACC to rank among the top six in scoring (3rd, 20.3) and rebounding (6th, 8.0).
- Zion Williamson of Duke (2nd, 21.2 ppg; 4th, 9.4 rpg) is the other. Â
- Three Eagles rank among the top 10 in FT% in the ACC: Wynston Tabbs is second (47-56, 83.9%), Ky Bowman fifth (70-85, 82.4%), and Jordan Chatman sixth (41-50, 82.0%).
BOSTON COLLEGE EXCLUSIVE
- Ky Bowman is one of two players in BC history to accumulate 1,300 points, 500 rebounds, 300 assists, and 100 steals.
- The other is Jared Dudley, who from 2003-07, tallied 2,071 points, 936 boards, 395 assists, and 176 steals.
- Bowman is one of only 18 players in ACC history to reach those career totals.
WYNSTON TABBS: ANOTHER DYNAMIC TO THE BC BACKCOURT
- Wynston Tabbs is one of two freshmen nationally to average 14.2 points, 4.1 rebounds, 2.8 assists, and 1.1 steals/game.
- He is one of 63 players nationally and four in the ACC - Ky Bowman, Nickeil Alexander-Walker (Virginia Tech) and Marquise Reed (Clemson) are the others - to post that season stat line.
- The Suitland, Md. native ranks fifth in the ACC and 32nd nationally among all freshmen in scoring.
- In each of the 10 games which Tabbs has reached double figures, he has scored at least 13 points.
- Tabbs scored 13 of his 15 at DePaul in the second half, including 10 straight points during a 1:54 stretch as BC took its first lead.
THE JORDAN CHATMAN 1,000 POINT WATCH IS UNDERWAY
- Jordan Chatman needs 48 more points to reach 1,000 for his collegiate career.
- In 113 total games between BYU (36) and Boston College (78), he has scored 952 points.
- Chatman has 857 career points in his Boston College career.
DOUBLE DOUBLE-DOUBLES
- Nik Popovic and Ky Bowman have each registered double-doubles in the same game on four occasions.
- Last time out at Notre Dame, Bowman had 24 points and 16 rebounds while Popovic tallied 15 points and 10 boards.
- Versus Hartford, Bowman (44 pts/10 reb) and Popovic (13 pts/10 reb) each recorded a double-double.
- Against Columbia, Popovic and Bowman became the first BC pair to tally a double-double in the same game in 12 years.
- Popovic registered career-highs in points (22) and rebounds (14), while Bowman added 24 points and 10 boards.
- In BC's next game vs. Fairfield, Bowman had 19 points and 12 boards, while Popovic had 11 points and 10 rebounds.
- Entering this season, the last time two BC players had a double-double in the same game happened on Dec. 28, 2006.
- Sean Marshall (30 pts/10 reb) and Sean Williams (19 pts/10 reb) had double-doubles for BC vs. Duquesne.
THE 2018-19 ANDY JICK FREE THROW CHALLENGE
- This season, there will be a true charitable effort at the charity stripe for the BC Eagles.
- For every game that the team shoots 78% or better from the line, longtime PA announcer Andy Jick will donate $100.
- Last year, thanks to Jick's generosity and BC's FT proficiency, $1900 was donated to the Quinn Amsler Scholarship fund.
- Jick is also sponsoring a similar charity donation in conjunction with BC's women's basketball team and its FT percentage.
- So far this season, the Eagles have shot 78% or better from the line on three occasions - vs. Providence, at Virginia Tech, and at Notre Dame.
