CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – The Boston College women's soccer team will travel down Commonwealth Avenue to play in-state rival Boston University on Thursday night at Nickerson Field (7 p.m.).
This will be the third New England team BC has played this season. The Eagles defeated Northeastern (1-0) on Aug. 19, followed by the 2-0 win over Connecticut on Aug. 26. After the BU game, BC will host Harvard on Sept. 12 (7 p.m.) for the final New England matchup.
The game against BU will be broadcast on the Patriot League Network.
LAST TIME OUT
Boston College (6-0) is coming off a 1-0 victory over No. 21 Texas Tech on Saturday night. Sophomore Gianna Mitchell scored early in the first half off a corner kick from sophomore Sam Coffey. Goalkeeper Alexis Bryant tallied five saves in the victory.
Boston University defeated UConn, 3-0, behind goals from Kelly Harris, Chloee Sagmoe and Lauren Adelman. BU out-shot the Huskies, 16-11. Four of BU's six games have been on the road.
