September 25, 2018 | Football
Milano gets a sack, interception and eight tackles in Bills' win.
The Buffalo Bills were outscored 78-23 through their first two games of the season and were heavy underdogs going into Minnesota on Sunday. The Bills and former BC linebacker Matt Milano came away with the upset; a 27-6 victory as they raced out to a 17-0 lead in the first quarter. Milano had a monster day for Buffalo with his first career sack and second career interception. On Wednesday, the NFL announced Milano as the AFC Defensive Player of the Week for Week 3. He joined BC legends Luke Kuechkly, Mathias Kiwanuka and Stephen Boyd as BC linebackers to earn the weekly honor.
Â
"It felt good," Milano told the media following Sunday's game. "You know, just playing together as a team. Without Tremaine [Edmunds], I wouldn't have had that pick. Without whoever else, I wouldn't have had that sack. It just feels good to final get a win under our belt."
