Eagles Led by Burke at Battle in Beantown

BC finishes 20th in stacked field
JAMAICA PLAIN, Mass. – The Boston College men's cross country team placed 20th at the Coast-to-Coast Battle in Beantown, collecting 570 points on Friday afternoon at Franklin Park in a field that included five ranked opponents.
Senior Sean Burke led the Eagles for the second year in a row at the Battle in Beantown, crossing the line at 24:53.2 for 34th place overall in the field of 210 runners.
Sophomore Kyle Faddis was the second BC runner in, finishing the course in 142nd in a personal-best time of 26:09.2. Junior Ian Ritchie placed 152nd overall with a time of 26:17.8 while senior Sawyer Maher was the fifth BC runner to finish the course, clocking a time of 26:19.3
Senior Benjamin Osipow closed out BC's scored runners, coming in at 26:26.0, good for 161st overall.
No. 10 Syracuse won the team title with 37 points, followed by No. 26 Washington with 70 points. No. 30 Ole Miss rounded out the top-three with 77 points.
No. 12 Campbell's Amon Kemboi placed first in the men's individual field with a time of 24:02.

- The Franklin Park course will be used again in October when BC hosts the ACC Championship on Friday the 26th.
