Eagles Return to Franklin Park for New England Championship

BC to face 28 programs, including four NCAA regional foes
CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – The Boston College men's cross country team will continue the 2018 season this weekend at the New England (NEICAAA) Championships, taking place Saturday, Oct. 6 at Franklin Park.
Of the 28 schools the Eagles will compete against, seven raced against BC at the Coast-to-Coast Battle in Beantown on Sept. 21. Dartmouth placed eighth while Boston University, Providence and Brown placed 10th, 14th and 15th, respectively. UMass Amherst placed 18th, followed by BC at 20th. New Hampshire (21st), UMass Lowell (22nd) and Quinnipiac (23rd) also raced at the Battle in Beantown.
Senior Sean Burke has been the first Eagle to cross the line in both races this season while sophomore Kyle Faddis ran the Franklin Park course in a personal-best 26:09.2 at the Battle in Beantown.
At last season's race, Ben Ruffing ran as an individual and finished in 146th with a time of 28:08.3.
It will be the Eagles' final race before the ACC Championships, which will also take place on the Franklin Park course on Oct. 26.
The men's varsity race will begin at 12:30, followed by the men's sub varsity event at 1:15.
