The field hockey team battled hard through extra time, but could not find the game-winner
COLLEGE PARK, Md.:Â The No. 13 Boston College field hockey team forced double overtime with just 4.8 seconds remaining in regulation, but ultimately fell to No. 12 Northwestern, 3-2, Sunday afternoon in College Park during the ACC/B1G Cup.Â

- GOAL: BC 1, NU 0; 11:54:Â Senior captain Frederique Haverhals capitalized on a corner shot, giving the Eagles the lead to start the game. Classmate Ymke Rose Gote and junior Brigid Wood had assists on the goal.
- GOAL: BC 1, NU 1; 34:55:Â Puck Pentenga evened the score off of a penalty corner.Â
- GOAL: BC 1, NU 2; 42:12:Â Pentenga capitalized on another penalty corner to open up the second half.
- GOAL:BC 2, NU 2; 69:56:Â Freshman Sky Caron tied the game on a penalty stroke just in time to force overtime.
- GOAL:BC 2, NU 3; 82:09:Kirsten Mansfield secured the Wildcats' win off of a corner.
- Freshman goalkeeper Jonna Kennedy saw her first career start and recorded eight saves.
- Caron's first career goal pushed the Eagles to their first overtime match of the season.Â
