Boston College finished 16th overall at the Cougar Classic in Hanahan, South Carolina the week of Sept. 9-10. It was the Eagles first match of the season. The teams played just two rounds due to inclement weather conditions. Florida won the tournament at -30, while Vanderbilt was second at -27.Â
BC shot a 294 after day one as a team behind Ailin Li's one-under round (71). She was one under in the front and even int he back with four birdies on the day.
The second round, which was the final round of the tournament, Li shot a a 74 with just two birdies to place tied in 32nd overall for the tournament. Sophomore Bibilani Liu was the Eagles second best finisher in the tournament as she shot a 74 on the first day and a 75 in the final round. She was tied in 57th place with at +5.
Katie Kim placed tied in 63rd place as she was +6 (150) for the two day tournament.
Boston College will next host 22 teams at the BC Invitational at Blue Hills Country Club in Canton on Monday, Sept. 24 and Tuesday, Sept. 25. The first groups will tee-off at 8:30 a.m. The tournament is open to the public to support the players.
