Kim Leads Field After First Round of City of Oaks Collegiate

Eagles sit in sixth place at 16-over par

RALEIGH, N.C. – The Boston College Women's Golf team completed first round action this afternoon at the Lonnie Poole Golf Course, hosted by N.C. State. The team currently sits in sixth place at 16-over par.

Junior Frances Kim leads the field at 1-under par, the only player in the tournament to do so. After shooting a bogey on the third hole, she followed with a pair of birdies and a clean back-nine to finish with a 71 on the round.

Next is sophomore Ana Lucia Trevino, tied for 19th place at 4-over par after logging two birdies herself. Right behind is senior Cynthia Zhang at 5-over par after shooting a 77 to sit at 5-over par. She leads the team with three birdies and sits tied for 25th place.

Next are freshman Joyce Zhang at 8-over par in a tie for 54th place, while graduate student Tiffany Cao rounds out the lineup tied for 59th place at 9-over par.

Individually, sophomore Jenna Shilts sits in a tie for 54th place at 8-over par.

The Eagles will tee off on the first hole tomorrow, starting at 8:50 a.m. with Richmond and East Carolina.
