Louisville, BC Set to Meet Under the Friday Night Lights
September 13, 2018 | Men's Soccer
BC finishing off three-game home stand with the ACC clash
Â
The meeting is just the fifth-ever between the two ACC foes. For the Eagles – who are currently receiving votes in the United Soccer Coaches Poll – it marks the first game in 2018 against a ranked opponent. On Tuesday, the Eagles played Holy Cross to a 1-1 tie at the Newton Campus Fields. Despite burying the Crusaders in shots (with a 32-7 attempt margin), Simon Enstrom's 12th minute score was the only one for BC in the game. Louisville – an NCAA Tournament team in 2017 – is coming off a big 3-0 win at No. 2 Duke on Sunday. The Cardinals have advanced to 10 NCAA tournaments under current head coach, Ken Lolla.
