Kelly Announces 2018 Soccer Schedule

The 2018 slate features seven regular season home fixtures.
CHESTNUT HILL, MASS. – Boston College men's soccer head coach Ed Kelly released today the team's schedule for the upcoming 2018 season.
The Eagles will play seven regular season matches at the Newton Campus Soccer Field in Kelly's 31st season at the helm, with two home preseason exhibitions also scheduled for August. The schedule also features seven regular season matches against teams that reached the NCAA Tournament a year ago.
After hosting two preseason fixtures with University of Massachusetts (Aug. 12) and Colgate (Aug. 18) – two teams that also earned spots in the 2017 tournament – the Eagles open up the season in earnest at Quinnipiac on Friday, Aug. 24.
The home opener against rival Boston University will take place on Monday, Aug. 27. After a game at Providence on Aug. 31, the Eagles will have a season long three-game homestand. After the ACC opener against tournament team Clemson on Sept. 7, Holy Cross visits on Tuesday, Sept. 11 and then the team will play a conference contest against Louisville on Friday, Sept. 14.
The Eagles then hit the road for three consecutive matches, visiting UConn on Tuesday, Sept. 18 before heading to Duke on Friday, Sept. 21. BC will end the road trip a week later at Notre Dame. Both Duke and Notre Dame earned spots in last year's NCAA tournament.
NC State – a tournament team - comes to town on Friday, Oct. 5 and then Harvard will make the short trek to Newton on Tuesday, Oct. 9. The Eagles then travel to last year's NCAA Tournament No. 1 seed in Wake Forest on Friday, Oct. 12 before returning home to face North Carolina. The Friday, Oct. 19 tilt with the tournament team Tar Heels will be the final regular season game at the Newton Soccer Fields for the Class of 2019.
The regular season wraps up with two road contests. The team will play at Rhode Island on Tuesday, Oct. 23 before traveling to Syracuse on Friday, Oct. 26.
The 2018 ACC Championship will be on campus sites for the first three rounds (Oct. 31, Nov. 4, Nov. 7) before the final takes place at WakeMed Soccer Park in Cary, N.C. on Nov. 11.
