Men's Track and Field Earns Two Academic Honors From USTFCCCA

Eagles honored for team, individual achievements
CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. — The Boston College men's track and field program received two honors on Thursday from the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) when the organization released its 2017-18 All-Academic awards.
BC was named an All-Academic team, amassing a cumulative GPA of 3.22, while junior Sean Burke received an individual All-Academic nod from USTFCCCA for his work in the classroom. In the spring, Burke qualified for the 2018 NCAA Division I East Preliminary for the third time in his career.
In order to be named an All-Academic Team, a program must have a cumulative team GPA of at least a 3.1 on a 4.0 scale.Â
To qualify for individual All-Academic honors, student-athletes must have compiled a cumulative GPA of 3.25 and have met one of the following: competed in an NCAA Indoor or Outdoor Championship, finished the regular season ranked in the national top-50 in an individual event or ranked in the national top-35 in a relay event on the official NCAA Descending Order List.
