Eagles have four incoming rookies playing in prestigious lacrosse game
CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – Boston College head women's lacrosse coach Acacia Walker-Weinstein should be smiling with pride on Saturday. The Eagles coach will be watching four incoming recruits play in the 13th annual Under Armour All-America game on June 30 at Johns Hopkins University's Homewood Field at 5:30 p.m. Fans can catch the game on ESPNU.
BC fans in the area will get a glance of four new Eagles as Jenn Medjid from New York, Caitlynn Mossman from Maryland and the sister act of Cassidy and Courtney Weeks from Bayport-Blue Point, N.Y. will compete on the UA All-American North Roster. The four BC recruits are a part of the No. 1 incoming class as ranked by Inside Lacrosse.
This is the first-time Boston College has placed four incoming recruits in this prestigious event.
The Boston College women's lacrosse team finished the 2018 season with a 22-2 record and advanced to the final game for the second consecutive season. Junior Sam Apuzzo became the first Eagles player to win the prestigious Tewaaraton Award and Honda Lacrosse Award.
Boston College will return 21 players from last year's roster, including Apuzzo, All-American's Dempsey Arsenault and Elizabeth Miller as well as Kenzie Kent, who sat out after playing a full season of hockey at BC.
