Dreswick, Murphy & Martinez Earn NFCA All-Region Honors

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – Seniors Jessica Dreswick, Annie Murphy and freshman Emme Martinez earned National Fastpitch Coaches Association Mid-Atlantic All-Region Honors, the NFCA announced this morning.

Murphy earned first team honors, while Dreswick and Martinez were named to the third team.  Dreswick earned first team honors last year, while Murphy was named to the third team.

A native of Washington, N.J., Murphy led the Eagles offensively as she hit .360 with a .433 on base percentage, 62 hits and 30 RBI.

Dreswick, a native of Flemington, N.J., went 18-11, with 17 complete games, a 2.43 ERA along with 184 strikeouts.

Martinez, a native of Hemet, Calif., had a strong freshman season. She hit .299 in 39 games played. Martinez had an on-base percentage of .360 and a slugging percentage of .444.

Boston College finished the season with 30-23 record and won a program record 13 consecutive games at mid-season.
