Brisk conditions at Alumni Stadium during Thursday’s practice
CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – Under sunny skies and brisk temperatures, the Boston College football team completed its 11th practice of the spring Thursday. With wind gusts of over 20 miles per hour, it marked the first time this spring the Eagles got a chance to battle the elements throughout the two-hour practice.

The defense seemed to get the upper hand on a day that featured plenty of work in the red zone. BC was also able to get an extended look at both the field goal and punt teams as all three phases got plenty of action during Thursday's practice.

Just three full practices remain for BC until next Saturday's Jay McGillis Memorial spring game at Alumni Stadium. Kickoff next Saturday is set for 11:30 a.m. with live coverage on ACC Network Extra.

Practice Notes: Three members of the 2018 recruiting class were at practice Thursday as QB Matt Valecce, TE Joey Luchetti and DL Ryan Betro were on-campus … senior SS Will Harris had a fumble recovery during team work Thursday … sophomore QB EJ Perry looked comfortable outside the pocket as he found junior TE Jake Burt and senior WR Jeff Smith for big gains … redshirt freshman defensive end Drew McQuarrie was very active during 11-on-11 action with one sack and two deflected passes … senior RB John Fadule and sophomore RB AJ Dillon both scored touchdowns during red zone work with the offense … the defense lowered the boom with several big hits Thursday as redshirt freshman defensive back Ben Stewart, junior linebacker Davon Jones, sophomore linebacker John Lamot, redshirt freshman defensive back Jahmin Muse and true freshman linebacker Vinny DePalma all delivered highlight reel plays.
