PHILADELPHIA, Penn. – The Boston College women's track and field team competed at the Penn Relays in Philadelphia, Penn. on Thursday – Saturday, April 26-28.

Standout performances include a second place finish in the steeplechase by junior Paige Duca and a ninth place finish in the 400 meter hurdles by senior Julia Barron.

BC will race in its sixth meet of the outdoor season when it travels to Miami, Fla. to compete in the ACC Outdoor Track & Field Championships on Thursday – Saturday, May 10 -12.

 BC Highlights:
- Senior Julia Barron and sophomore Emma Taylor earned a ninth place and 12th place finish in the 400 meter hurdles, respectively. Barron crossed the line in 1:00.96 and Taylor finished with a time of 1:01.20.
- Julia Lyons finished 10th overall in the long jump with a jump of 5.81 meters.
- Junior Paige Duca finished in second place overall in the steeplechase at 10:09.
- Freshman Miranda Thompson ran a personal best in the 3000 meter run with a time of 9:41.
- The distance medley relay team of sophomore Anna Flynn, Taylor, senior Shannon Ahern and senior Julia Gregory earned an eighth place finish in the distance medley relay with a time of 11:59.36.
- The 4x100 meter relay team of sophomore Monica Heil, sophomore Julia Lyons, Taylor and senior Johanna Celli finished the race in 48.82.
- The 4x400 meter relay team of sophomore Emily Barron, Celli, Heil and senior Molly McCabe took 20th place, crossing the line in 3:48.14.
