
Dair Wins A Tiebreaker In Final Match

Eagles beat Wake Forest, 4-3
 Boston College women's tennis team defeated ACC foe Wake Forest, 4-3, on Friday in the final regular season match of the season.

"it was a great college match. Both teams competed hard,'' said BC coach Nigel Bentley. "We were able to rally after losing both doubles. A big key in today's match was our success in tiebreakers. Especially senior Asiya Dair. She won her match in a third set breaker. What a terrific day for her final match here.''

The Eagles (13-10, 5-9 ACC) first-singles Asiya Dair, ranked 92nd in the country, defeated No. 27 Emma Davis, 1-6, 6-2, 7-6 (1). It was senior day for Dair.

BC also picked up points behind Kylie Wilcox at No. 2 singles. She defeated Eliza Omirou, 7-5, 7-2 (2). Jackie Urbinati earned a win over Mary Caroline Meredith in the fourth spot, 6-3, 6-3.

Sixth singles Elene Tsokilauri defeated Alexis Franco, 7-6 (5), 6-1.

Wake Forest won both double matches, 6-4.

Boston College will travel to Cary, North Carolina to compete at the ACC Championships at Cary Tennis Park from April 25-29.
