Eagles notch their first win over the Cardinals in Louisville
LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Boston College lacrosse tied the longest win streak in program history after slating its tenth consecutive win of 2018 over Louisville, 19-10, Saturday afternoon on the road.

A slow start for both teams in the first half resulted in Louisville (6-4, 0-3) going into the break with a two-goal advantage. Feeling refreshed, the Eagles (10-0, 2-0) notched the first four goals of the second half. After the Cardinals answered, senior Tess Chandler netted her fourth goal of the season, triggering an eight goal run that solidified the first Maroon and Gold win at Louisville.

Junior Dempsey Arsenault set the new single game program record after slating 12 draw control wins, while junior goalkeeper Lauren Daly set a new career high with 11 saves.

- Arsenault also set a new career high after winning 12 draw controls. With this, she breaks the program record that junior Sam Apuzzo set (11) earlier this season when BC hosted Brown on Feb. 24.
- Chandler and senior Kaileen Hart led the game with four goals apiece. This ties Chandler's season high, which she originally achieved in the overtime win at Southern California.
- Senior Emma Schurr set a new career high after notching a hat trick against the Cardinals.
- Arsenault also notched a hat trick for her eighth game of the season with three or more goals.
- Daly achieved 11 saves, reaching her new career high in her 10th straight win to open the season.
- The Eagles produced a 16-point second half.
- BC went a perfect 4-4 on free position shots, and won 21 draw controls to Louisville's nine.
- This is the first time in program history that the Eagles have beat the Cardinals at Louisville.

- With 12:34 remaining in the second period, Louisville's Tessa Chad pulled the Cardinals within a goal of the Eagles lead. Chandler answered with her fourth goal of the game, sparking an 8-0 run that helped the Eagles hold a steady lead to end the game.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- After Arsenault and Chandler secured the first two goals for the Eagles, Louisville tied it up at 2-2.
- Despite Arsenault netting another goal, the Cardinals put up three points to close the first frame and go into the break with a two-goal advantage.
- The Eagles came into the second half with a new energy and scored the first four goals of the half – two of which came from Hart.
- Scoring went back and forth until Chandler put her third goal in followed almost immediately by a goal from sophomore Cara Urbank.
- Louisville rattled off one more goal which BC answered with an eight-goal run to pull into a comfortable 18-9 lead.
- Though the Cardinals produced one last goal, Hart scored with 30 second to go, pushing the Eagles into a 19-10 lead for their tenth straight victory to open the 2018 season.
