Back-to-back days on the field for the Eagles Thursday
CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – The Boston College football team finished spring practice number four Thursday morning inside the bubble at Alumni Stadium. The Eagles were on the field for consecutive days for the first time this spring in full pads for the two-hour practice. Following a day off the field on Friday, the Eagles resume spring practice Saturday morning inside Alumni Stadium.

Here are some notes from Thursday's practice:
Â
It was a good day as both the offense and defense each made their share of plays during the competitive practice … the play of the day came from senior wide receiver Elijah Robinson as he made a leaping grab in the end zone on a beautiful throw from redshirt freshman Matt McDonald. McDonald continues to look comfortable running the second-team offense and had several nice throws on the day, including a deep ball to senior wide receiver Michael Walker … sophomore QB EJ Perry showed his versatility with both his arm and legs during Thursday's workout, finding Walker and senior tight end Tommy Sweeney on chunk plays while also running for a long gain on a quarterback run play … redshirt freshman defensive end Marcus Valdez has worked with the second-team defense and has been making plays all over the field … Valdez and fellow redshirt freshman defensive end Drew McQuarrie teamed up for a sack during a team period. Valdez also recovered a fumble during inside run … junior cornerback Hamp Cheevers made a nice play to pick off a BC pass and returned it for a would-be touchdown … true freshman linebacker Joe Sparacio looked to have a would-be pick-six during practice as well as the Florida native jumped a route for the INT … sophomore offensive lineman Ben Petrula showed his versatility again as he earned reps both at center and right tackle for the Eagles. Redshirt freshman Alec Lindstrom earned some first-team reps at center when Petrula slid out to right tackle … sophomore linebacker John Lamot had the best hit of the day as he squared up AJ Dillon during inside run.
