Women's tennis will return to action Saturday, facing Yale
SYRACUSE, N.Y. – The Boston College women's tennis team fell to ACC opponent Syracuse, 5-2, Friday evening at the Drumlins Country Club in Syracuse.

The Orange (5-1) took a quick one-point advantage after winning the doubles point from the No. 1 spot and the No. 2 spot.

At the No. 3 position, Syracuse won other point at freshman Natasha Irani fell, 6-0, 6-0. No. 17 ranked Gabriela Knutson then downed senior Asiya Dair, 6-4, 6-1, from the No. 1 position to gain a 3-0 lead.

Junior Jackie Urbinati gave the Eagles (3-3) their first point after her win at the No. 5 spot, 6-3, 6-1, but Syracuse clinched the match from the No. 6 spot.

Sophomore Dasha Possokhova secured another point as her opponent retired in the third set.

Up next, the Eagles will remain in Syracuse to challenge Yale in a neutral court match tomorrow, Saturday, Feb. 17, at 12 p.m.
