Women's tennis slates their first sweep on the season
SYRACUSE, N.Y. – The Boston College women's tennis team improves to 4-3 on the season after a comeback win over Yale, 7-0, in Syracuse Saturday afternoon.
Â
"I'm very proud of our bounce back win today," said head coach Nigel Bentley on the split weekend. "I thought our team competed really hard and earned this victory. We keep improving and this is evident by four of our players defeating opponents today they had lost to in the fall. We'll take a couple of days off to catch up on academics and then are looking forward to a good week of practice in preparation for Harvard next Saturday."
Â
The two squads last met up at the Yale Invitational in the Fall where the Bulldogs (3-4) took a majority of the wins during the third day.
Â
After quickly clinching the doubles point, BC swept the singles competition to close the weekend in Syracuse.
Â
Up next, the Eagles will travel up the road to Cambridge to take on Harvard on Saturday, Feb. 24, then will go to Providence, R.I. the following day to challenge Brown.
