Game Preview: No. 4 Louisville Visits Conte Forum

Eagles-Cardinals tip off at 7 p.m. on Thursday night
Boston College (7-16, 2-11) will host No. 4/4 Louisville on Thursday at 7 p.m. in Conte Forum. Fans can purchase tickets at the gate or go to bceagles.com for tickets. The game will be streamed live on ACC Network Extra.

The Eagles are coming off a victory against Pittsburgh, 72-61, behind a career-high 23 points from sophomore Georgia Pineau. Freshman Milan Bolden-Morris pitched in with 15 points while sophomore Taylor Ortlepp added 13 points. Graduate senior Andie Anastos finished with six rebounds and 11 points. It was the Eagles first win since Jan. 4 against North Carolina.

Louisville, ranked fourth in the country, visits Conte Forum for the first time since Feb. 21, 2016. The Cardinals (25-2, 11-1) are coming off a tough road loss at No. 1 Connecticut on Monday night. The Cardinals are led by Asia Durr who averages 19.8 points and 2.0 assists per game. Senior forward Myisha Hines-Allen averages a double-double (14 points, 10.1 rebounds) for Louisville.Â

Prior to Monday's non-conference loss at UConn, Louisville has won five straight games. The only other loss for the Cardinal was against ACC foe Florida State on Jan. 21 (50-49).

- The Cardinals lead the overall series, 4-1.
- BC's only win came in 1985 as the Eagles defeated the Cardinals, 74-68. It was WRAL Classic in Raleigh, North Carolina. BC lost to Kansas in the tournament opening game, 68-59, before beating Louisville.

-Freshman Milan Bolden-Morris earned her third ACC Rookie of the Week, sharing the honors with UNC's Janelle Bailey, this week as announced by the conference.
- Bolden-Morris shot 50 percent from the floor and three-point line while averaging 17.5 points per game last week.
- A native of Florida, Bolden-Morris has notched double-figures in 19 games, and leads the Eagles with 70 three-pointers. She is five three's away from setting the new rookie class record at BC. Kelly Hughes owns the record with 74, while Nicole Boudreau is second with 71 in her rookie campaign.

- The Boston College women's basketball team defeated ACC opponent, Pittsburgh, 72-61, on Sunday afternoon at Conte Forum behind a team-leading 23 points by sophomore Georgia Pineau.
- The 72 points scored mark the most points scored by BC since Jan. 4 versus North Carolina.
- BC entered the second half of the game trailing, 34-30, but turned it around with a 7-0 run in the beginning of the third quarter. Pineau scored 17 of her 23 points in the second half and contributed 10 points in the first six minutes of the fourth quarter to propel the Eagles to victory over the Panthers.
