November 23, 2018 | Men's Hockey
CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – Bentley ended Boston College's four-game unbeaten streak with a 4-2 victory on Friday afternoon at Kelley Rink in the first-ever meeting between the two schools.
The Falcons scored a pair of unassisted power play goals in the second period, out-shooting BC 13-4 in the frame, and extended their lead early in the third. Boston College cut the deficit to one through David Cotton and Oliver Wahlstrom, but a lengthy empty-netter with 1:07 left on the clock secured the win for Bentley.
The Eagles out-shot the Falcons 11-5 in the third period and 25-21 for the game. Bentley went 2-for-6 against a BC penalty kill that was 18-for-19 during the four-game unbeaten run.
Cotton, who entered the day tied for the NCAA lead in goals per game, netted his team-high 10th goal in 10 contests and extended his goal-scoring streak to five games. Logan Hutsko pushed his point streak to six games with an assist on the afternoon.
