Garraud ignited a 5-1 run with her second three-pointer as BC went up, 12-8, at the first media. Houston cut into the lead with a jumper by Serithia Hawkins with 44 seconds to play and BC led, 12-11, after one quarter.
2nd Quarter - Emma Guy got BC on the board early to push the lead to 14-11. The teams exchanged baskets before Guy took over late in the second half of the quarter. 3rd Quarter – Boston College opened up the quarter with two quick baskets to go up, 37-25. The Cougars went on an 8-0 run behind four points from Jasmyne Harris (15 points, five rebounds). A number of turnovers in the quarter hurt BC as the two teams finished the third tied at 44-44. BC's offense was buoyed by 10 points in the quarter by Guy.
4th Quarter – A Taylor Soule layup and three-pointer from Taylor Ortlepp gave BC a 49-44 lead. Houston's Angela Harris kept the Courgars in the game as she scored five straight points and BC's lead was down to one point with 3:39 on the clock.
After a number of missed shots and turnovers by both teams, BC's Makayla Dickens was fouled and she calmly hit two free throws to give BC a 59-56 lead with just under two minutes to play. Pineau would change any momentum Houston tried to take from BC when she rebounded a miss foul shot and scored to give BC some breathing room, 61-56, with 1:13 to play. Harris would miss her next three-pointer attempt, which was boarded by Dickens, who sent Garraud in for a layup to seal the win.
