New England Championship Next for Eagles

BC to race 25 programs at Franklin Park
CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – The Boston College women's cross country team will race at the New England (NEICAAA) Championship on Saturday, Oct. 6 at Franklin Park.
The Eagles will be one of 26 schools racing in the women's event, including seven that went head-to-head with the Eagles at the Coast-to-Coast Battle in Beantown on Sept. 21. Dartmouth placed fifth in the women's field, followed by Brown in sixth and Providence in 13th. BC placed 12th, followed by UMass Lowell in 19th, Boston University in 20th and Quinnipiac in 21st. UMass Amherst and New Hampshire finished in 23rd and 24th, respectively.
Junior Paige Duca led the Eagles on the Franklin Park course at the Coast-to-Coast Battle in Beantown on Sept. 21, finishing 46th overall in a time of 18:05.7. Senior Delia Hayes ran a personal-best time at the event, finishing in 18:06.8.
At last year's event, the Eagles placed second overall with 119 points and were led by Ashbrook Gwinn's second-place finish with a time of 17:55.8.
The women's sub varsity race will begin at 11 a.m., followed by the women's varsity race at 11:45 a.m.
