Eagles Begin League Play with Merrimack Home-and-Home

BC and MC meet for the 99th and 100th times in series history this weekend
CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – Boston College opens Hockey East play this weekend with a home-and-home series against the Merrimack Warriors. The series opens at 7 p.m. on Friday (Nov. 2) at Lawler Arena in North Andover before returning to Kelley Rink on Saturday (Nov. 3) at 7 p.m. Both games will air on WEEI 850 AM and Saturday's home contest will be live on ESPN3.Â
SCOUTING THE WARRIORS
• Merrimack earned its first shutout of Boston University in program history with a 4-0 victory on Oct. 20, but was swept by UMass last weekend in a home-and-home
• The Warriors dropped a 5-1 decision in Amherst on Friday night before falling 4-3 in overtime on Saturday as the series shifted to North Andover
• Junior Tyler Irvine leads the team with six points on two goals and four assists
• Senior Craig Pantano has started six of seven games in net with a 2-4-0 record, 2.43 goals against average, and .913 save percentage
• Through seven contests, the Warriors are 6-for-37 on the power play and 24-for-33 on the penalty kill to rank 51st nationally in combined special teams

• The Toronto native was named a 2017 and 2018 AHCA Division I All-American Scholar, is a three-time member of the Hockey East All-Academic Team, and was recognized on the 2017 Hockey East All-Academic All-Star Team
