The Boston College women's soccer team will host Clemson on Sunday at the Newton Soccer Field in the quarterfinal of the ACC Tournament.
BC finished the regular season at 14-3-1 and a 6-3-1 conference record to place fourth overall.
Clemson (6-4-0) defeated Syracuse, 3-0, on Thursday night and tied Louisville for fifth place with 18 points. The tie was broken by goal differential in overall conference games. Clemson had the edge and clinched the No. 5 seed with a plus-six goal differential.
The winner of the BC-Clemson game will advance to the ACC semifinal to play the winner of top-seeded UNC and No. 8 Virginia Tech on Friday, Nov. 2 (5:30 p.m.) at Wake Med Park in Cary, North Carolina.
The Eagles and Clemson earlier this season. BC picked up a 2-1 victory on Sept. 30 at Clemson. Junior Olivia Vaughn scored two goals in the win. The game-winner came in the 82nd minute of the match.
