The Boston College sailing team took an overall sixth place finish at this weekend's Fiske-Harriman-Sleigh Trophy Showcase. The A Division team, skippered by Wade Waddell, earned a fourth-place finish in the division with 142 points. Waddell was joined by Katharine Bowman for races 1-10 before Emma Perry took over for races 11-18. The B Division team placed seventh with 157 points, as Peter Lynn was joined by Lauren Seigel for races 1-10 and Tara Ferraris for races 11-18.
Waddell and Bowman began with two fifth-place finishes before hopping to second place. They fell to 15th, 13th and 16th before jumping to 10th and ninth. They earned 17th and 11th before Perry took over. Waddell and Perry earned fifth, sixth, eighth, first, third, fifth, seventh and finished at fourth.
Lynn and Seigel earned eighth, fifth, 15th, second, 10th, 13th, 10th, 17th, 16th and third place finishes. With Ferraris on the crew, the pair finished in 10th, fifth, seventh, second, seventh, second, eighth and 17th.
The team competes this weekend for the Urn, Nickerson and Schell Trophies.
