Allen, Brown and Lindstrom Named ACC Players of the Week

Eagles rolled to a 38-20 win over Louisville on Saturday.
CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – Boston College senior defensive end Zach Allen, redshirt sophomore quarterback Anthony Brown and senior offensive lineman Chris Lindstrom were voted ACC Player of the Week at their respective positions as announced by the league office on Monday afternoon. All three players had major contributions in BC's 38-20 victory over Louisville on Homecoming Saturday at Alumni Stadium.

Allen was named ACC Defensive Lineman of the Week for the second time in his career. Allen was all over the field as he totaled seven tackles, three tackles-for-loss and a sack in BC's win over Louisville. Allen also blocked an extra point on special teams in the victory. BC allowed a season-low 217 yards of total offense and held the Cardinals to 47 rushing yards on 32 attempts, the fewest amount of rushing yards by an opponent in 2018.

BC finished with seven sacks and 12 tackles-for-loss in the win.

Brown captured ACC Quarterback of the Week honors for the second time this season and for the third time in his career. Brown was efficient in leading the BC offense to a 38-20 win over Louisville. He threw his ACC-leading 14th touchdown pass of the season and finished the day going 16-of-22 passing for 179 yards. BC scored 35+ points for the fifth time this season and totaled 430 yards of total offense.

Lindstrom captured Offensive Lineman of the Week honors in the league for the second time in 2018 and for the third time in his career. Again the top-graded lineman up front for Boston College, Lindstrom paved the way for an offense that totaled 251 yards rushing as two backs went over 100 yards rushing (Ben Glines and David Bailey).

Boston College has a bye this weekend before returning to action Friday, Oct. 26 vs. Miami. Kickoff is set for 7p.m. with live coverage on ESPN and the BC IMG Sports Network.
