CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – The No. 8/7 Boston College women's soccer team has four regular season games remaining, and the first of three on the road is on Saturday, Oct. 13 at Miami (7 p.m.).
After a trip to Florida, the Eagles will head to North Carolina to play the No. 3/3 Tar Heels on Thursday at 3 p.m. Following Thursday's game, Boston College will play at No. 11/11 Duke on Sunday, Oct. 21 (1 p.m.). BC will then host Pittsburgh on Thursday, Oct. 25 in the final regular season game of 2018.
BC is currently in second place in the ACC, three points behind North Carolina (11-2-1, 6-0-0) and two ahead of Duke (10-2-2, 4-1-1).
LAST TIME OUT
Sophomore Sam Coffey and junior Olivia Vaughn scored to lead Boston College No. 23 NC State, 2-0, on Sunday. BC HIGHLIGHTS
- Sophomore Sam Coffey scored her ACC leading ninth goal of the season. It was her fourth game-winning goal of the season.
- Junior Olivia Vaughn tallied the second goal of the game on a great individual effort. A native of Montclair, New Jersey now has a new single season-high eight goals.
- Graduate senior Alexis Bryant picked up her eighth shutout of the season. She made three saves, including a penalty kick save in the second half.
- The Eagles defense held NC State to just one shot in the first half and just three on goal in the game.
BC vs. MIAMI
- BC and Miami have played 15 times and the Eagles hold an 11-3-2 edge over the Hurricanes.
- Since joining the ACC, BC is 6-2-2 vs. Miami.
- Last year, Sam Coffey, Lauren Berman and Carly Leipzig scored in a 3-1 win over the Hurricanes on Oct. 8. Alexis Bryant had three saves while the Eagles peppered the Hurricanes keeper with 13 shots on goal.

- BC has a three-game win streak with victories over Clemson, Virginia Tech and No. 23 NC State. In the three-game run, BC has scored seven goals, while holding opponents to one goal.
- Goalkeeper Alexis Bryant was the ACC's Co-Defensive Player of the Week. Bryant had four saves, a PK save and picked up two more shutouts as the Eagles improved to 13-1. Bryant now has a eight shutouts, tops in the ACC. She is also fourth in the conference ins GAA (0.52) and second in save percentage (.837).
