The Boston College men's basketball fell to ACC rival No.20/18 North Carolina, 96-66, at the Smith Center in Chapel Hill on Tuesday, Jan. 9.
Despite 21 points from sophomore Ky Bowman and 15 from junior Jerome Robinson, the Eagles defense was not able to stop Tar Heels' Luke Maye who scored a career-high 32 points and 18 rebounds to lead UNC.
The Eagles entered their fifth ACC tilt having only been out-rebounded three times all season. The Tar Heels however, finished with a 58-23 rebounding advantage.
BC looked stronger in the second half, hitting seven of its first eight shots. Additionally, the Eagles continue to be off to their best start in seven years.
BC looks for its 12th win of the season and tenth win at home when it faces off against Dartmouth on Saturday, Jan. 13 at 1 p.m.
